Q: Glory, we understand that for the new season you've developed a hair fashion line called Glory's Elegant Blonde Highlights Hair Trend. Can you tell us a little about the man who isfeatured here in a before and after?
GLORY: He came to me as a friend of an existing client of mine. They were going out to dinner that night and I asked him you live around here near 83rd Street and Third avenue – why have I never seen you here before? He mentioned that he likes to get highlights but because of a bad experience on East 86th Street he cut his hair short and has been fearful of getting blonde highlights again. Here's what I did with his hair: I double processed his natural hair to a nice pale blonde and gave him that natural blonde looking hair.
Q: Natural yes, but what about if someone had fine thin hair and wanted a fashionable look with special effects such as an unusual color.
GLORY: Funny you should ask, but the young lady who is my fine thin fashion hair model wanted purple highlights. As a color specialist, I created for her a look that integrates Peekaboo purple highlights in a very natural way. So that it fits her lifestyle in terms of her job.
Q: Speaking of jobs, I understand that at your own job as a stylist you did a little something with your own hair. Can you tell us about this?
GLORY: Yes. I put extensions in my hair as can be seen in the pictures. They are the clip in ones so that they don't harm your hair and they look great. I do extensions of many different kinds. I work with many different textures of hair so when people need help with things like Brazilian Blowouts, Japanese Straightening and in conjunction with extensions.
Q: With your new elegant hair trend, I notice you are also an expert in upscale looks either for a special evening event black tie event or weddings and bridal parties.
GLORY: Yes, one of my pictures is of the two young ladies. I gave them a very upscale and elegant look by first blow drying the curly hair and then setting the hair in velcro rollers. Exclusively for my own clients I do weddings and Bridal Parties. You can see an example of a bridal party I did in one of my gallery photographs.
